If you want a great steak, this is the place in Dodge City, in fact it rivals some of the best you can get in KC. Had the porter house, perfectly seasoned and cooked, at least 20 oz. for $25! Couldn't get this steak in KC for less than $50. Banana foster ice cream cake for desert is a must. Not a fancy place, but service was great. Highly recommend if you are in Dodge City!

Great service. Great food. We had a group of people and each person enjoyed their meal. Steak, French dip, patty melt, club sandwich, soup and sandwich. Really cold beer.

The steak was WONDERFUL! Service just ok, waitress seemed disinterested. There was a birthday party so the place was loud. The wheatberry sandwich was delicious. We read about the fried pickles in other reviews so we had to try... We like the thinly cut ones but these had a little bite to them and were very good! Will definitely stop in again for a nice tasty, perfectly done steak!

I really wanted to try the steaks after reading so many wonderful reviews, but they are closed 2pm-5pmonday to Friday. Maybe someday.

Another Yelp winner! this place had a terrific rib-eye steak. normally i never recommend ordering this anyplace except a certified steak house, but this place is probably better. tasty, tender, what more can you ask for? Our meal was in an old railroad car - a very nice atmosphere.

Great road rage burger and delicious fried pickles. Service was good and the locale is super cool. Make sure you check out the railroad car dining room. This would be a good place to take a family as they're very kid friendly.

The food was excellent I got their signature steak and it was cooked perfect with just the right amount of seasoning. My wife had the cheese chicken and potatoes and it got rave reviewed as well. The mashed red potatoes were dang tasty. The servers were all excellent and made us feel welcome.

TONS of food for a decent price. The steak mesquite ribeye with the delicious sauce was really good. Comes with two sides and a salad. Right in town walking distance to everything else. Outdoor seating available and love entertainment sometimes!

I really liked this place! A bit skeptical given the touristy scene of the town but took a chance based on the small number of solid reviews here on Yelp. Thank you, Yelp reviewers! The hostess wisely asked us if we had a seating area preference. When we told her it was our first time there she patiently described each of the areas and we chose the quiet historic train car. And it was quiet. Just one other couple in there which I usually don't like because it's TOO quiet. And no music or anything. It was fine, though, and my husband didn't have to put in his hearing aids because he could hear me just fine...) And it was cool eating in an historic train car. Some of the customer's luggage was still on the upper rack! I had the skirt steak strips (very tender with a great flavor) atop a salad of mixed greens, red onion slice, green pepper, tomatoes, and a couple of hunks of good grilled bread on the side. I tried the Dorothy Lynch dressing - I liked our server's description "It's kind of a Kansas/Oklahoma thing". Very tasty. Looks like French dressing which I've never really cared for but much richer tasting. Hubby had the Rib Eye, mashed potatoes, and mixed veggies and it also came with a salad. He loved it! We walked back to our hotel in the rain but didn't mind because our tummy's were happy!

HIGHLY recommend to anyone going to Dodge City. The steaks were one of the best I have ever had. The place absolutely ROCKS and is as FUN as it gets. Great patio looking toward Dodge. We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and they are true down to earth people. Place was SUPER busy of Friday and Saturday night but you can feel at ease, the bouncers and staff are ON IT. Almost before anything can even happen. The Happy Hour is amazing. The bell and rail road lights are great.

Came into town around 9:00 pm & this was one of the only places open besides fast food. The waitress asked if we had a preference to sit & unfortunately we said no. We were sat in the open bar section. The music was blaring & we couldn't hear our waitress - we just nodded & pointed at the menu. The place looks like it is aimed for tourists, but there were a lot of locals there. We were entertained by the local dart contest. The food was good - we were pleasantly surprised given our other food choices during the day. I'm giving the place 3 stars, only because the music was so loud we couldn't hear anything.

In Dodge City for the weekend and hotel recommended this place for great beef. Waitress was disinterested and very slow (2 hours to complete our meal). We had the obviously pre-frozen mediocre spinach artichoke dip - rib-eye steaks too thin to cook properly although the seasonings was good and not worth the price. Steak knives were inadequate to trim and cut the steaks. The salad dressings were flavorless and watery. Ordered kids mac and cheese and tasted dreadful - as if dumped from a chefboyardee can. Left an almost empty restaurant (full bar) around 9pm on a Friday. Perhaps the Bar is the place to be - but skip the restaurant and dinners. Dodge City has a wonderful steak restaurant -this isn't it.

Came here for dinner/drinks a couple of times while we were in town. This is where the "tower crew" came for drinks and to let off a little steam. I had the chicken chimi and the SO had chicken fried steak for dinner the first night. The beers were tall and the Bloody Mary was good and not too spicy. I cannot remember what we had the second night, it was good but not memorable - that Bloody Mary may have been stronger than I thought. Friday night the guys came here to play. I did not see a DJ and the dance floor was empty but was hearing current radio country. The guys played pool. It was not crowded but the parking lot was fairly full. It looks like this could be a fun place if you like the honky-tonk western theme.

We went on the 4th of July, sat outside inside the corral they had set up and watched the fireworks which went on for over 2 hours while watching a band Paramount that played all 80s music. We had a good time. It also looked like they had their own shuttle which I wish I would have known before we went their. It looked like they had some good steaks on the menu. Will have to eat their next time were in town and use their shuttle service. Very interesting place on the inside. Crowd was kind of dead the night we went, but will go back for sure.

I have eaten here many times. I can't figure out why it isn't a busy place all the time. Food is one of my favorites in DC. They have three "dining" areas. A train car, A bar, and an upper scale bar. I have taken Groups of people there with no long waits on food. Each time I have gone, I expect the place to be busy, but its not packed like I would think. I have not experienced the night life, so you will have to read someone else's review. I recommend the food, and the back bar dining room, but enjoy the front bar for a social atmosphere.

Our experience here was outstanding. The bill was a little higher than our average dining out bill, but the food and service we received here was outstanding. My wife and I both had the Mesquite Sirloins. They were both cooked properly to order and the tasted absolutely fabulous. The hostess was very nice and checked on us a couple of times during the meal. Our server was very attentive during our entire meal, and asked several times about our entire experience. If we are in town we will definitely eat there again.

I loved everything we had here. Tons of TVs every direction you turn. Couple pool tables in the adjoining room. Place also turns into a club at night.

We came here for dinner on a Friday night with my boyfriends' parents. He has eaten here a few times and said that the food was good enough, so my expectations were that it'd be ok. We walked in and were seated in the back dining room with a few other tables .. man was it quiet in there! It felt like everyone in there could hear our conversation and we could hear theirs .. I think turning up the music wouldn't be such a bad thing, and it might add a little bit of personality to the atmosphere too.. Our server was good, he took our drink order quickly and asked if we would like any appetizers to start, we declined and ordered when he brought our beers over. I ordered the Chicken Tortilla Soup and the tacos - I think they were the prime rib tacos with cilantro and onion. Both were good, but then again, they're relatively simple items. My boyfriend got the filet and it looked unlike any filet that I've ever seen.. it was thinner cut and larger than most. But he reported that it tasted fine. His mom ordered the Chicken Parmesan Pasta and really liked it (it looked good to me!) and his dad got the rib eye, I think? All three of those entrees came with a side salad, which consisted of nothing more than iceberg lettuce with shredded cheese on top and crackers on the side - the portion of said salad was rather small in my opinion, but hey.. Overall the food was OK and the service was good. The only thing that might have made it better would be the feel of the dining room.. maybe it's just that we sat in the back room, it's possible that the area by the bar was more 'happening' or maybe as the night went on it got a bit more relaxed - we DID eat before 7 o'clock so there you go.. take it for what it's worth.. happy dining y'all!!

Central station is usually my go-to in town for a good steak. Best ones in town (my opinion)! I always enjoy sitting in the train car in the back on the restaurant which adds a quaint dining experience. 9 out of 10 times my steak is cooked to my specifications whereas most other restaurants "rare-"ly ever get this right! Food and drinks are reasonably priced. Service is fast and friendly even on busy nights. Be sure to save room for dessert. The banana foster ice cream cake is delightful!
